IORY train 401 (Norwood-Lima) is eastbound on track #2 of the NS Dayton District at milepost CJ 220. This train exercises track rights that the Indiana & Ohio Railway (IORY) has on the Detroit District between Springfield and Cincinnati. When I saw my first Tunnel Motor after moving to Southwest Ohio in 2012, I could not believe what I was seeing. IORY is a Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (G&W) holding, and some day these units are going to be painted in the G&W livery. Yuck. |

Norfolk Southern train W76 (Louisville-Bellevue), second section of NS train 376, is eastbound on track #1 of the NS Dayton district at milepost CJ 220. I think that any of you can attest to just how rare it it to find two locomotives pulling an NS train and neither of them being a widenose, and in near-perfrect light. I was thrilled out of my little Jeffie mind. |
