Amtrak 518 |
Description: |
About a mile west of the West Ann Arbor switch the Michigan Line crosses the Huron River at Barton Dam, one of the most popular hiking and get-away-from-it-all parks in the Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation department. City parks and trails follow the Michigan Line through town except for two short easements which are private property. Here we see Amtrak 350 (Chicago-Pontiac) being pulled by GE B32-8WH Amtrak 518. The B32-8WHs were assigned to Michigan service, replacing the F40PHs until they themselves were replaced by Genesis locomotives. |
