Description:
GTW 4600, one of the products of the GTW GP9R rebuild program, trundles engline-light northward on the GTW, er, CN River Spur through Wyandotte Michigan as GTW, er, CN train GTW 227 (Edison Yard-South Yard-Flat Rock Turn) in the last light of a June evening in 2000. In addition to hosting shipyards, this area as once the heart of the Downriver chemical industry. Today, Wyandotte is a residential area with some light industry which is served by Ford Yard in Wyandotte (less than a mile south of here) and Edison Yard in Trenton. The Conrail Detroit Line #2 main is to the right, and beyond that is the Detroit Line #1 main and the CNIC Shoreline Subdivision. After all these years, we still refer to these rails respectivly as The DT&I, Conrail, and the Shore Line.
